Storyboard assignment brief 1 unit 18

Image
Film The images show the rough designs of the X-Wings, Chewbacca, and Han Solo. It clearly shows that the film is sci-fi as in 'board  260' as you can see Space in the background. In board 368 of Han and Chewbacca it is a 'medium close-up'. This board effectively shows the background of the ship, the design of the characters, and the expression of the characters. Then also in board 260 the X-Wing shows movement effectively as there is a 'blur' showing speed and that it's moving fast. This scene shows the sound made when Spiderman punches Doctor Octopus should be a 'bam' sound, showing that Spiderman is fighting hard. It could also be a design choice based on the fact that Spiderman was originally a comic. Sound could also be shown in board 260 of Star Wars since it says 'overheard' it could be making a fly past sound like a 'zoom' or something similar. This scene from Pyscho shows how transitions and edits should look...

Script analyse

Radio script -   THE TRIAL OF JOSEPH KNIGHT BY MAY  SUMBWANYAMBE 1. KNIGHT(V.O) My name is Joseph Knight, I was born in 1753. I was taken from Cape Coast Castle to Jamaica in 1760 by a Captain ‘John Knight’ on a ship called The Phoenix. The (V.O) stands for voice over like he is narrating over sound, music or dialogue. Other ways the script indicates how the voice should sound is like, (OFF) which means the actor should speak away from the microphone. Also (D) means the voice should be distorted like they are speaking on a phone or radio. Then (LOW) indicates the actor should be whispering. And (CLOSE) Indicates the actor should be close to the microphone to give an intimate feel to the dialogue. Methods of speaking are effective as they can tell a lot when it comes to dialogue, for example (LOW) tells the voice actor to whisper. Whispering would add more drama and suspense cause the audience knows there will be repercussions if someone hears them. ...

Identity fraud interview

Interview The music I used fits the style of the video. It is peaceful, not to loud, and sounds sad which will make the audience relate more with Joe. The song is called Golden Hour . I used Joe's phone as a sort of 'flashback' to when he realized from his bank that his details had been breached. The white background is simple and the lighting is calm setting. The reasoning for this is so the video is more relaxing and the audience won't panic to much. Problems I faced I had to adjust the volume by 10 decibels as joe was really quiet. Unfortunately this made my own voice louder. But there is no way around it. Next time I should use a mic or tazcam to record the interviewee. Another problem was due to a lack of tripods the camera was a bit shaky. We also struggled to get the camera to focus. We will need to book a tripod ready next time to avoid these problems. Getting the quality of the video to be good when I would upload the video on YouTub...

Working in the creative media industry Unit 2

Task 1 Film Some products that will be made in the film industry are documentaries, movies, and tv series. All these products will also be different genres like action, horror, etc. There are a lot of roles in the industry like director, producer, camera operator, and many more roles can be seen here in the cast and crew for one of the all time biggest films . Documentaries are factual films or sometimes television series. They are educational, and are supposed to teach the viewer about a topic. Most documentaries are narrated, and most do not have actors. Some might have actors if recreating footage. Some examples are Planet Earth , Supersonic , and The Day John Lennon Died . People have also made new kinds of documentaries called 'mockumentaries' and example would be The Office . A popular role for documentaries are narrators. A famous narrator would be David Attenborough . A narrator basically voices over footage and will explain what is happening on the screen. Movie...

Role of a script writer

Image
Job roles Commissioning editor - They listen to peoples pitches and will green light if the project will be made or not. This role is critical to production as corporations don't want to waste money on content that doesn't do well. If a production thats green-lit doesn't do well it will be the commissioning editors fault. Producers - They deal with the budget, admin work, and the cast/crew. If a film goes over budget, if admin work is incorrect, and if a member of cast/crew is bad at their job. Then the producers are at fault as its their job to make sure this is all done without any problems. Victoria Alonso  was a producer for the film Avengers: Infinity War. Directors - They are the creative vision of the film who are in-charge of making the script into the real thing. If the film has mistakes on production, and makes it into the final production then it is the directors fault for not noticing. Examples of directors would be Quentin Tarantino, George Lucas, Steven S...
