Front cover print  The font I will be using for the masthead will be https://www.dafont.com/mexcellent.font I chose this font as it is text made up of lines. This will be suitable for my masthead as the title is "Redlines", so I will have the text in red. Red is used to get the readers attention as the colour stands out. I used the photo of Tom with the microphone as my dominant image as it had a direct gaze which if someone was to look at it would get there attention. I had Tom use the microphone in the photo as it shows he is important, as the person who sings usually is the frontman and most famous of the band. The microphone also fits my genre of music. The only photo manipulation used is the removal of background using the magic wand tool. I used an image of a stone pigeon to be a symbol of the band which is called 'The Stonebird's'. It would be also majority males, due to males mostly likely indie rock n roll which my magazine will focus on. It to will be ABC1 as it would be people with spare money who will have money to buy the magazine, and will also have spare money to get tickets to go see their favourite bands live, and buy instruments. It would also be for people who look to be informed. The magazine would be print as print is currently more successful than digital. Also print cannot be pirated.

This photoshop has increased my confidence in editing. However I didn't enjoy making this as I felt it was hard to decide what my "main sell line" should be, however I decided to choose Aaron Paul in the end as its new news that is also quite big.
