Continuity editing Continuity editing is when shots are edited together, or different components cut from a single shot, into a logical sequence so the viewer's attention is directed to a story across both time and physical location. It creates an illusion of continuous action, hence the viewer will not notice the transition between shots and their focus will be narrative-driven. None continuity editing None continuity is when shots are mismatched to disrupt the impression of time and space. This will get the audiences' attention directed to the process of cutting and disturbs the illusion of 'reality'. Montage, flashback, and jump cuts are examples of non continuity editing. Editing evaluation

The Film I used simple however effective editing in my film. I used white on black text as it suggests good and evil. It's also simple and stands out well. To make this I added a a graphic to the screen with text. For all my scenes I cut out unwanted parts like '3,2,1 action' and any laughing at the start or end. I did this by using the Razor tool. This allows me to have the footage precisely how I want it. Here is where I added audio into my production. I used music I downloaded that I believed fit the scenes and created a calm tone in the scene. I also used a sound effects like fire crackling when paper was burning and also a death sound effect when the bad guy was punched. Trailer The editing for the trailer used a lot of quick cuts and made it fast paced so the viewer is more engaged. It also gives the impression of chaos. I removed all the audio from the clips and just used the classical music over the full trailer so it contrasted with the chaotic ...

I was taken from Cape Coast Castle to Jamaica in 1760 by a Captain ‘John Knight’ on a ship called The Phoenix. The (V.O) stands for voice over like he is narrating over sound, music or dialogue. Other ways the script indicates how the voice should sound is like, (OFF) which means the actor should speak away from the microphone. Also (D) means the voice should be distorted like they are speaking on a phone or radio. Then (LOW) indicates the actor should be whispering. And (CLOSE) Indicates the actor should be close to the microphone to give an intimate feel to the dialogue. Methods of speaking are effective as they can tell a lot when it comes to dialogue, for example (LOW) tells the voice actor to whisper.
